Inspired by the classic and ancient elements; my current series explores the properties of liquidity in nature as “The State of Miscibility”. Ironically, the subject matter lends itself as a commentary on the recent Gulf oil spill. The shifting interactions of contrasting forms and undulation of line gives a sense of weight and vagueness while the natural quality of reflective light captures the surface tension providing a textural and painterly quality to the images.
